CET – SRMIST Vadapalani campus conducted a seminar on National IP Awarness Mission (NIPAM) as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations on 11/1/23.

The program is being implemented by the Intellectual Property Office, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Governmentof India.
Mr.M.Madhan Raj, Examiner of Patents & Designs Intellectual Property Office, Chennai was the resource person for the event.
Dr.C.V Jayakumar ( Dean CET ) welcomed the gathering.
Dr.S.Ramachandran – Director Academics delivered the special address.
The seminar detailed on Patent filing procedures in India, fees for filing, pescribed forms, complete specifications, claims set, inventions not patentable, difference between research paper & patent . The audience was made aware of the patent search databases – free as well as paid. Dr.K Jagannathan , HOD / Physics proposed the vote of thanks. The function came to an end with the national anthem. The event was coordinated by Dr.K.Ramachandran, Research Coordinator, SRMIST Vadapalani Campus.
