Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry was started in 2009. We have highly qualified, dedicated faculty members. We offer courses for first year B. Tech Students of all branches. The Chemistry laboratory is designed to support and illustrate chemical concepts studied in the lecture portion of the course, as well as to introduce important laboratory techniques and encourage analytical thinking. The research lab is well established and the faculties are actively engaged in research activities. Some of the areas of interest are synthesis of Heterocyclic compounds, Sensor material and Chiral molecules. The aim of the department is to broadly educate basic Chemistry and develop research interest among students.
