Abhigyan ’23 – WiFi Wizardry

WiFi Wizardry Workshop is a pre-event of Abhigyan’23 a national-level symposium organized by the Department of ECE, SRM Vadapalani. Workshop was conducted on 17/02/2023 from 10.00 am to 2.45 pm in the VLSI lab. This workshop mainly focuses on engineering students to know about Wireless communication using the Wi-Fi module. We had an interactive hands-on training where we implemented three circuits like ‘Turning on LED with phone’, ‘distance tracker’ & ‘Room temperature and humidity monitor.’

We had 216 registrations from SRM Vadapalani and other colleges, registration was closed by 10.30 am. The event was initially addressed by Dr.Karthik.S, in the presence of HOD ECE
Dr.Shirly Edward. A, and faculty coordinator Mrs.Bhuvaneswari. The brief about Abhigyan’23 was given by Smruti Narayan, Vice chairman of Abhigyan’23.
Then the introduction was given by Aditya Nair, then the students were divided into groups and components were given to them. The hands-on training was given by 3rd-year students,
Jatly AJ, Akshaya S, and Perla Saketh. First, we started with ‘Turning on LED with phone’,
After the Lunch break, we continued with ‘distance tracker and continued with ‘room temperature and humidity monitor’, which was the end of the session, certificates were awarded to the participants. The rest of the background was done by our power-packed coordinators Rity Nivetha and Anila. Refreshment was provided to the participants during the short break. Feedback was collected from the students.
