The Faculty of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Vadapalani Campus, successfully hosted its 18th Induction Day Ceremony on 3rd August 2026 at the III Floor Auditorium, SRMIST Vadapalani, under the theme “A New Beginning – Infinite Possibilities.” The event welcomed the new batch of MBA and BBA students and their parents, with around 260 participants attending the programme.
The ceremony commenced with a divine invocation and traditional lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, followed by the welcome address by Dr. Satish Menon, Dean – Faculty of Management, SRMIST, Vadapalani Campus. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Dr. Ravi Pachamuthu, Pro-Chancellor (Administration), SRMIST, Ms. Harini Ravi, Director – Institutional Development and Innovation, SRM Group, Dr. R. Venkatesh Babu, Director – Administration, SRM Group, and Dr. Rama S. Komaragiri, Director – Academics, SRMIST, who motivated the students to pursue academic excellence, lifelong learning, ethical leadership, innovation, and holistic development. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Kasiviswanathan Panchatsharam, Managing Director, TN AutoSkills, emphasized the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, continuous skill development, and exploring opportunities in the MSME sector and the global marketplace. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Vice President – Human Resources, Brakes India, highlighted the significance of industry-relevant skills, resilience, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, lifelong learning, and professional networking. He also introduced the concept of Ikigai, encouraging students to discover a meaningful and fulfilling career path. The programme further featured inspiring interactions with distinguished alumni, Mr. S. Sarath Babu, Founder of That Events and Board Director at Pixel Innovation Xperience & Pixel Edge LED Solutions India, and Mr. Sooryaprasad Natarajan, Co-Founder of Truklynk Logistics Pvt. Ltd., who shared their professional and entrepreneurial journeys and encouraged students to embrace adaptability, networking, personal branding, resilience, and continuous learning.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. M. N. Prabadevi, Programme Chair – MBA, followed by the National Anthem. The 18th Induction Day successfully provided an inspiring and meaningful beginning to the academic journey of the new batch, reaffirming SRMIST Vadapalani’s commitment to nurturing future-ready management professionals and leaders.
